Equine Barn

The equine hospital wards cover a wide range of needs including critical care, foaling, and convalescent stalls. A separate neonatal unit is available for the care of our large animal babies. Clinicians and students conduct scheduled checks on their patients as well as observe activities on a closed circuit television monitor.
The VTH barn also provides housing for cattle, llamas, sheep, goats and pigs requiring hospitalization. The VTH is at the forefront of advances in animal productivity and reproductive health applying new knowledge in veterinary medicine to improve the care of farm and ranch animals.
