Small Animal Reception Small animal reception staff coordinate appointments
in small animal medicine and surgery, oncology, and zoological medicine,
responding to the needs of our small animals and exotic patients. The
Veterinary Teaching Hospital cares for approximately 22,000 small animals
each year. Most are dogs and cats, but we also care for many other pets
including birds, rabbits, ferrets, ‘pocket pets’ and reptiles.
These companion animals come to the hospital with a wide variety of illnesses,
yet have a common need for healing.
