Welcome to the equine hospital at Colorado State University website. We look forward to providing you and your horse with outstanding veterinary care.

As winter approaches, please remember that now is great time to have any lameness problems that may have developed through the summer evaluated so that these injuries can be properly treated and rehabilitated during the colder months. We have several veterinarians at the hospital that specialize in lameness conditions in horses. In addition, we have gone completely digital with our imaging systems and have recently installed both a new bone scan and CT units to better evaluate those difficult lameness cases. The new bone scan unit is up and running but it will be a few weeks before the CT unit is operational. Call (970) 297-5000 to make an appointment for us to evaluate and treat your horse.

In an attempt to better serve our clients and referring veterinarians, we have developed a package price for horses that require treatment for medical colic. Horses can be diagnosed and treated for minor medical colic for a flat fee of $887 which includes one night in the hospital. In addition, we have reduced our colic surgery prices by almost $1000 to help our clients deal with the current economic concerns. Additional price packaging for a few specific surgical procedures will be coming over the next few weeks. Please contact one of the faculty or staff at the hospital in you have any questions about the new pricing structure.

If you have any questions about the services we provide, how to make an appointment to have your horse evaluated, or how to contact a particular faculty member, please feel free to contact me directly by email. Please remember that we are not just a referral hospital and anyone can bring their horse to our facility. We are dedicated to providing your horse top quality care and you top quality service.

Thank you and we hope to see you soon.
