Equine Field Service
As part of the Equine Hospital at the James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital, the Equine Field Service provides primary care for patients in the Fort Collins area. These services include vaccinations, de-worming, lameness exams, prepurchase exams, reproductive assistance, dental care, general physicals, health certificates, blood work, radiographic assessments, minor surgeries, acupuncture, and chiropractics.
This service is staffed by two faculty that have previous private practice experience and veterinary students in their final year of school.
The Field Service is available for emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is manned by the faculty in Field Service and by the residents in both medicine and surgery.
