Surgery Technicians
Kimberlee Alexander
I was born in Littleton Colorado. Though my parents were never horse lovers, I always have been. I Started riding at the age of 10, and began helping in barns to pay for riding lessons and to get as much experience as possible so hopefully one day I could own my own horse. After leasing various horses, I was able to buy my first horse. He was a five year old Thoroughbred liver chestnut gelding off the track. From age 10 until 24, I showed in 3-day eventing, hunter-jumper and dressage.
graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in December of 1999. While in school and after graduating, I worked in a small animal practice in Lakewood Colorado. In 2001 I started working for CSU-VTH in the Large Animal Surgery area. Recently, I started helping in lameness exams, joint injections and day emergencies in the outpatient area.
In 2001 I married my high school sweetheart and exchanged my horse for a house. We moved into a new house in Frederick, got married and started working for CSU all in the same month.
We currently have two dogs and a new one on the way. My husband works for Maxtor hard disc drives in Longmont. In our spare time we enjoy boating and camping. While my husband is out riding his dirt bike, I enjoy gardening, running and of course riding horses.
