Agricultural Animal Medicine and SurgeryThe Agricultural Animal Medicine and Surgery
Service of the CSU James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital provides
veterinary care for cattle, sheep, goats, alpacas, llamas, both domestic
and pet pigs, and wild ruminants. As part of the Integrated Livestock
Management (ILM) Program, the agricultural animal service is committed
to assisting livestock producers investigate and solve animal related
health issues and train future agricultural veterinarians and industry
specialists. The agricultural animal hospital service is directly supported
by specialists in internal medicine, surgery, and theriogenology and also
provides consultations with specialists in ophthalmology, dermatology,
and cardiology. Certified animal health technicians, veterinary interns,
and veterinary students staff the hospital and allow 24 hour monitoring
and care of patients.
