New Artwork at the
James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital

As a tribute to his dedication and work at the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences at CSU, the family and friends of Dr. A. Wendell Nelson have donated a life size staute of "Check-Up", the boy veterinarian with his dog.
This bronze was unveiled on January 9th, 2004 at the entrance to the James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
As an ongoing legacy of Dr. Nelson's work, his family and friends, in conjuntion with CSU, have created a fund to provide scholarships for professional veterinary sudents.
The statue was created by nationally renown artist Carol Cunninham of Estes Park, Colorado.
